Fishing

One of the main pillars of the Upland Sportsman’s Club purpose is to promote and encourage all sports. The art of fishing is among one of the more popular recreational sports participated in by club members and promoted by the club.

The following annual tournaments are offered at the Upland Club for all members and their guests. We encourage everyone to participate in the following activities and to enjoy the sport of fishing.

Ice Fishing

• Conducted annually from First Ice through February 28^th.
• Prizes are offered for the member who catches the largest fish in the following categories:

Weekend Contests

• Throughout the winter every effort will be made to hold weekly mini ice fishing contests. Weather and participation permitting

Dave “Big Daddy” Barboza Striper Contest

• Prize is offered for the member who catches the largest striper as well as your name being engraved on the plaque at the bar.
• This tournament is conducted annually from May 1^st – October 31st

Fishing Contests Rules

• • • • • • • Largest by weight.  Must be weighed on club scales and witnessed by a club member.
            • Must enter: $10.00 prior to April 1st.
            • Top entry in each category wins cash prize of: $50.00 and their name on club plaque.
            • All efforts must be made to keep fish alive for weigh in and to release alive if possible
